There are many ways to be a part of Arts In Bushwick. Right now, we are working like crazy to pull together this year’s Bushwick Open Studios and Arts Festival! If you want to get involved, you can help out planning the Festival, volunteer during the event, or participate as an artist by registering your studio or planning an event. The way we work is, if you want to see something happen, do it!

The Bushwick Open Studios Festival is intended to be a platform for people in our neighborhood to realize projects, show art and connect with each other. A ton of planning and organizing goes into making the Festival happen, and we are always looking for people to help out. Check out the production calendar to see whats going on!

WHO/ WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW:

A volunteer coordinator for the weekend of the Festival. (Someone to organize the other BOS volunteers into shifts, check the lists, etc)
People to distribute promotional materials all over the city, from now until the Festival!
Someone fluent in Spanish and English to help translate printed material, web content and conversations.
Photographers/ videographers to document BOS 08.
Helpers of various kinds for the weekend of the festival. We need folks to do everything from handing out water to directing out-of town visitors and hanging flyers.

We hold open meetings every weekend or two. If you want more information or you just want to check out how the Festival is shaping up, come out to a meeting! We don’t bite, we promise.
