BOS 08 Cabaret
Location TBA |
A night of non-theatrical performance knit together by our in-house band. Think: circus, dance, comedy, and any combinations/ interpretations of the above. All acts must be easy to set-up and clean-up, as there will be very minimal time between performers.
The Cabaret will take place on the night of June 7th. You must be available for a tech rehearsal and cue-to-cue, which will take place before the event, TBD.
The BOS ‘08 Cabaret seeks the following:
— circus artists
(email Natalie Agee: nat_alleycat@yahoo.com)
— dance troupes
(email Chloë Bass: chloe@artsinbushwick.org)
— comedians and improv teams (contact Caitlin Steitzer: cbsteitzer@gmail.com)
— other non-theatre specific performers
We also need people to run sound, lights, and the bar. Contact Chloe or Jeff at performance@artsinbushwick.org if interested, or for general information.

I’m seeking a wall space on any gallery. I don’t need much room, just enough to hang one or two large paintings around 3 x 5 feet.

I am interested in the project of presenting experimental films using alternative methods that create a more visceral interaction with the viewer.
I would like the screening of my work to be a sort of mess–but one that has a pulse of confusion, nonetheless. Please contact me for a DVD. Thanks.
I’m looking for a space that will allow me to show one of my films. These are films that could easily work in a theatrical format, though I am just as interested in presenting them in a gallery format. There are clips of these films on my website.
The most recent film, SUZY’S PARTY, I would like to present on multiple beat-up, used TVs and strategically-placed speakers, with segments of the film being synchronized and often played simultaneously.

Artist Working in Bushwick for the past eight years seeking out space to exhibit a few paintings and/or drawings based on size availability. My works are influenced by a collective interest in the world of science, abnormal history and culture, and are littered with images from an obsessive and personal iconography. From oil and Acrylic paint to carbon Paper Transfers, Watercolor, collage and ink, each piece is anotheR link in the chain of an idiosyncratic world; One of unnatural animals and landscapes and curios behavior. |

I create billboard-style signage in the East Bushwick/Ocean HIlls community (visit James at HelloNeighbor.org) and continued support for that would be most appreciated in the form of connections, wall space, etc.
I am looking for studio space and if possible, a (large closet-size) space to present an installation with plastic ball-pit balls and some paintings for the next round of events.

I am looking for a space to exhibit 4-6 small framed works (9"x12" each). Please visit my website to see my works, if they fit your studio/gallery theme.
Statement:
chrysanthemum
——————————————————————————–
As the drawing evolves and grows, it spirals away from its nucleus. The essence of this spiraling growth is the chrysanthemum, which, as I add each petal, gets larger in size and takes on an exhilarating shape and form. Blossoming in a frosty November, the chrysanthemum embodies virtue and nobleness in its resilient spirit.

Please e-mail or call as soon as possible so display of work can be indicated on the BOS festival map (deadline 5/15) and website.
I’d like to display a series of work, On The Platform. You can see some of it here: http://afonline.artistsspace.org/view_artist.php?aid=8304
They are Color photographs – high-quality framing in black-wood from 24×36 and larger.
I’d like to display some large pieces if possible. Some large ones are 35×42 and one is 7-foot wide.
But, I’d be happy to display smaller ones if there’s not enough space.

Hi, I live and work in bushwick out of my apt on the montrose stop, since its my house and a different direction I was hoping I could put up some pieces in someones studio. It would be works on paper held with clips then pinned in the wall (or some with plexi and foamcore backing but still hung w/ clips.) probably a 40"x40" sq and some smaller 10"x10" pieces, depends on the size of space.I can meet up and hang work before the weekend or whenever…. I do drawings with gouache see it here:
www.denisedespirito.blogspot.com
I will put some money down towards registration for BOS esp. if before flyers and maps are printed and my name will be on it. Will be good in case you have to run out, I can watch the studio and keep it open.
